A quick introduction to Attributes

Seelk Studio's Attributes give you to power to organise and accurately compare your Amazon product groups against each other. With the ability to organise products into exclusive groups, each Attribute allows you to compare and contrast your product groups to better analyse your Amazon business performance. When you compare Attributes with tags, you will quickly understand that, Attributes (unlike tags) contain product groups that are mutually exlusive, meaning for each Attribute, each product can only exist inside a one group at a time. Therefore, any comparison between groups is entirely accurate, and as a business you can now easily know where you need to take action most.ย

How do I create an Attribute?

Take the following the steps to create an attribute.

Step 1: Create an attribute(s) and its groups?

To manage your attributes click on 'Settings' at the bottom of the left side navigation bar.ย

Once inside Settings, on the left menu select Products and then click on Attributes

Here you will see a list of your Attributes. If you have none, that's normal, you have not created any! To create an Attribute click on the "New Attribute +" button at the top right of the interface.

You will be prompted to the following modal for you to create a new Attribute and add groups to that Attribute:

Give your Attribute (*required) a name and a Description with you like.

Following the next step by clicking "Add Groups" and you can add groups by typing the name and click "Add Group" or simply by hitting enter.

Step 2: Link products to a "group" using the Catalog interface

When inside the Catalog at Product level you will notice checkboxes down the left side of each product. To add products to a specific group of an Attribute you simply click the checkboxes for the product you wish and then select "Groups". You will be prompted with a modal - simply select the Attribute you wish and the group for that Attribute you to add products.

ย

Step 3: Link products to your Attribute's group using 'Attributes Management' Excel?

To link products to a group inside an Attribute you can also do this in bulk by uploading a spreadsheet.ย

To download the template go to Settings > Products > Attributes and click on the 'Import' button at the top right of the screen.ย

You'll be prompted with the following modal window will appear.ย

You need to click 'Download Excel Template' to download the Excel spreadsheet that you will need to fill in with your ASINs and the values you are linking to each.

The two standard columns are "asin" & "marketplace". The rest of the columns are reserved for your Attributes. In the above screenshot you can see that for this account there is only one Attribute called "Clothing Type", underwhich a few ASINs have been given the grouping "Custom".

In each Attribute column and according to the individual row per ASIN/Marketplace you can put whatever "group name" you wish, after you've uploaded the file, Seelk Studio will automatically handle the rest.ย

โš ๏ธ N.B. You need to first create your Attribute by clicking on Settings > Products > Attributes > New Attribute before it will appear as a column in your template.

What are the codes for the Marketplace?
