In this tutorial we will be exploring how to quickly export to Excel all of the data and written content for the customer reviews of your individual products.

First step:

Go to the "Reviews" module inside the Catalog app.

There are several levels at which you can download your customer reviews:

  • Marketplace

  • Custom Attributes

  • ASIN

Let's say that you want to export the reviews for a single product.

  1. Ensure that your grouping is set to "ASIN"

  2. Select the ASIN in question and you will see the blue "Export Customer Reviews" button appear at the top of the data table

3. Click on the "Export Customer Reviews" button, it will open a modal where you select from how many days (either Last 7 or Last 30) you want your customer reviews or simply select "All Reviews".

4. Once you're done selecting your "since" period, you can click the blue "Get Reviews" button. You will see a message indicating that you will shortly receive a message in your inbox (the email address associated with your Seelk Studio account).

5. Next, go to your inbox and you will see an email from Seelk Studio with the subject line "Amazon Customer Reviews report" with an excel as an attachement.

6. Open the email, download and open the excel file.

7. You will notice 3 separate sheets inside the Excel file:

  • Overview

  • ASIN Detail

  • Review Detail

What's inside the "Overview" sheet?

The "Overview" sheet is generally only useful if you have downloaded one or more custom attributes and their sub-groups.

In this case we've selected "Custom Brand" using Muki (our favourite Amazon Vendor and Swedish pharmaceutical company) account.

You will notice three rows:

  • Report Date (the date on which you exported the report)

  • Since (the date selected from which to gather your customer reviews)

  • Dimension (this is the name for the Custom Attribute you have selected)

The columns are:

  • Custom Brand (contains the subgroups of that custom attribute)

  • Products (total number of products inside that subgroup)

  • Previous Review Count (the number of reviews you had at the start of the previous period in question, i.e. the "Since" date)

  • New Review Count (the number of new reviews you obtained during the period in queston, i.e. from "Since" to "Report Date")

  • Total Review Count (the total number of reviews currently have on the "Report Date")

  • Previous Review Average (the average customer review rating score you had on the "Since" date)

  • New Review Average (the average customer review rating score you have on the "Report Date")

  • Review Average Change (the amount the rating score has changed between the two periods, represented as either a positive or negative)

What's inside the "ASIN Detail" sheet

The "ASIN Detail" sheet contains a full list of the ASINs that you have export with a breakdown of all the metrics for customer review ratings.

The columns are:

  • ASIN (Amazon Serial Indicator Number)

  • Marketplace (The Amazon Marketplace, i.e. country, where your product is being sold)

  • {Name_of_grouping_you_selected} (in the above case it is "Custom Brand")

  • Product Title (the title of that specific ASIN)

What's inside the "Review Detail" sheet?

The "Review Detail" sheet contains each on of the "new" custom reviews with the comment include (title + text). There are various other info which Seelk Studio provides.

The columns contained in the sheet are as follows:

  • ASIN (Amazon Serial Indicator Number)

  • Marketplace (The Amazon Marketplace, i.e. country, where your product is being sold)

  • Review Date (the date on which the customer made the review)

  • Rating (score out of five given by the customer)

  • Review Title (title of the customer review comment)

  • Review Text (full text of the customer review comment)

  • Reviewer (name of the review)

  • Reviewer Profile (Amazon account ID)

  • Review Scraping Date (the date Seelk Studio scraped the the review)

  • Useful votes (number of votes)

  • Images (yes or no, were images included in the review)

  • Verified Purchase (has the customer verified their purchase - yes or no)

  • Top Positive Review (is this review considered to be a "top positive" ranked review? Yes or no)

  • Top Critical Review (is this review considered to be a  "top critical review"? yes or no)
