Here you will learn how-to add your products inside your Seelk Studio Catalog, in the right section and with the right tracking frequency, via an Excel file. Monitoring your Seelk Studio catalog is key to ensure proper analysis and relevant insights gathering.
Introduction
Adding products in Seelk Studio enables you to:
Map the raw ASINs retrieved from Amazon Reports,
Be able to tag and classify them afterwards,
Track Content and SEO performance on those products,
Have representative Share of Voice insights between My Catalog and main competitors.
We don’t retrieve your Product Catalog directly from Amazon. Adding products inside Seelk Studio has to be done through the Settings App on a regular basis to ensure relevant data insights.
There is 2 ways to monitor your product catalog inside Seelk Studio:
Manually: add several products at once within the same section and tracking frequency.
Uploading an Excel: add several products at once with different sections and tracking frequency.
Add Products inside Seelk Studio (Excel)
Beforehand: the number of products you can add in Seelk Studio is limited. Please refer to your Seelk Studio SOW or Jellyfish contact to know the terms & conditions.
Click on your Seelk Studio avatar and go on the Settings tab.
Click on Products in the Settings Navigation bar.
Click on Add Products.
4. Select Upload an Excel.
5. Click on Download Template. An Excel spreadsheet entitled catalogue_template_date is directly saved in your computer ‘Downloads’ file.
6. Click on the Excel file you just downloaded. You access a spreadsheet you should fill in with the products you want to add to your Seelk Studio catalog.
Note: You can add 4,000 ASINs at once. If you need to add more than 4K ASINs, you will have to proceed with uploads by batch of 4,000.
6a. If it’s the first time products are added in your Seelk Studio account, the excel spreadsheet will be blank, only containing column titles. Fill in the file with the required information.
6b. If you want to add additional products to your existing catalog, the excel spreadsheet will contain all the products in your current Seelk Studio catalog. Here you have 2 options:
Insert new ASINs in the table and upload your updated file containing existing and new ASINs. You need to make sure first that new ASINs are not already in the file and it doesn't exceed 4,000 lines.
Delete all the cells except column titles, and only add new ASINs. Deleting cells of existing ASINs won’t remove them from your Seelk Studio catalog. This way you can add ASINs that already are in your catalog. They will be updated with the status, tracking frequency and section you just defined when adding them back. (Recommended)
Here’s the various items that need to be filled with the required format :
asin: Amazon Identification Number of your product
marketplace: amazon_marketplacecode of your product for example ‘amazon_fr’ ; ‘amazon_us’ ; ‘amazon_mx’; ‘amazon_uk’...
activated: ‘TRUE’ —in English and in Capital letter- to activate your product; ‘FALSE’ to archive this product.
scraping_frequency: approx. number of seconds within the period, basically it corresponds to
daily

= 2 x 24hrs x 60mn x 60sec = 172800
weekly
= 7 x 24hrs x 60mn x 60sec = 604800
monthly
= 30 x 24hrs x 60mn x 60sec = 2592000

= 1 million x 24hrs x 60mn x 60sec = 86400000000
never
= 0 or blank cell
section: ‘MAIN’ to add your product to the Core section, ‘EXTR’ for Secondary, ‘DETA’ for Detached and ‘COMP’ for Competitor —all in English and in Capital letter.
Note: make sure you don’t add space at the end of each cell’s container, otherwise you will get an error message when uploading your Excel file.

Optional: you can classify your ASINs in existing attributes directly when adding your products through this Excel file. To do so just add your existing product attributes in column and fill out the concerned cells for each ASIN.

7. When your file is complete just drag and drop it into the area provided or click and select the file from your computer, then click ‘Confirm’. A confirmation message appears on the bottom right of your screen. Your product Catalog is now updated!
Note: Once your products have been added inside Seelk Studio, they enter a Processing stage where product page information are gathered and scores computed. It may take up to 24 hours for them to appear in your Catalog.
